The aim is to provide correctly identified colour photos with cultural advice and to act as an up-to-date information source in the cactus/succulent world. This work includes over 1154 colour photos with 1007 different plants covering 41 families (Aizoaceae 49, Asclepiadaceae 55, Cactaceae 302, Crassulaceae 109, Euphorbiaceae 151, Liliaceae 158, others 183). Up-to-date references include a checklist of succulent genera(1530), classified bibliography(261), listing of succulent societies(67), selected suppliers from over the world(96), CITES data(141) and plant nomenclature.

This is a user friendly software with context-sensitive help and software support from the author. It has versatile searching capabilities. Retrieval of information is just a matter of a second. Automated tours for both family and genus are available. In the future, additional pictures will be added, inferior ones replaced and information updated.
