Cactus Mall Server Conditions of Use

BCSS Forum usage - a note to all users.

The BCSS Forum, part of the BCSS website, is hosted on a server which is rented by the partnership business of Suzanne and Tony Mace. We have signed a hosting contract with the server company which, as normal, contains a lot of small print detailing all the things we are not allowed to do on the server. The list of things we are not allowed to do includes various illegal activities and forbids copyright violations and libellous statements. It should be noted by all members that the relevant laws are those of Texas and the USA NOT those of the UK. Breach of these terms can result in total shut down of the server by the hosting company without notice or recourse.

Considering that some 140 of the most important websites of cactus and succulent organisations (Societies, Nurseries and Private sites) are hosted on this server this would be a major disaster for the hobby worldwide not to speak of the damage to our personal business and livelihood. I therefore view anything posted on our server which could potentially endanger our service extremely seriously. Irrespective of BCSS rules this is why the BCSS Forum moderators are given absolute rights to delete posts. If it becomes necessary to protect our server status I will exclude users from our server including the use of any of the websites we host.
